The two-days conference which was held for the first time ever was an initiative of the Governance, Integrity, and Anti-Corruption Centre (GIACC) in sharing specific research findings. This was initiated by this agency together with the research team to the public.

Taking into focus the theme of the conference “Facing Challenges in Governance, Integrity, and Anti-Corruption”, eight research papers that were presented over the two-days conference highlighted high-risk fields such as defense, forestry, health, and telecommunication sectors. Two social sectors also highlighted by the research team were the Islamic institution governance and Orang Asli community management and management sectors, whereby the governance for these two sectors are also exposed to the weaknesses in governance and are at risk of corruption.
